Sheep hoisting and bleeding rail

Plan sheep hoisting and bleeding rail with animal-mix inputs, incoming and outgoing transfers, cleaning access and explicit project scope.

Where this equipment fits

Connect the approved slaughter station with hanging attachments, lifting and the bleeding rail.

The equipment brief must state whether the project uses the halal route or non-halal conventional route. Downstream engineering can share interfaces, but the entry method and operating controls require their own review.

Information needed for selection

  • Animal species and size range; the selected halal or conventional method.
  • Incoming handling geometry, lifting path and access to the bleeding work position.
  • Hanging components, rail supports, blood collection, drainage and cleaning access.
  • The process team’s required release checks before subsequent dressing.

Define both transfer ends

InterfaceWhat the project should define
IncomingReceiving/restraint and approved slaughter-method arrangement
OutgoingPre-skinning and dressing-rail entry
Building and servicesMeasured location, supports, available services, operator access and cleaning/maintenance space.
Review responsibilityProcess team for the equipment arrangement; competent veterinary authority and any appointed halal certifier for the operating controls.

Scope and image limitations

A hoist or conveyor does not determine the slaughter method. The appointed veterinary team and, for a halal project, the recognized certifier must review the entry arrangement. The shown rail equipment is a configuration reference; it is not evidence of a certified ritual or stunning station.

Before ordering

Ask the project team to mark this equipment on the building drawing, identify the upstream and downstream handoffs and list any assumptions still unresolved. The equipment schedule should distinguish supplied machinery from local fabrication, civil works, utilities and approval tasks.

At review, compare the proposed arrangement against the actual sheep and goat supply, the planned work pattern and the hygiene routes. Document any change of animal mix or operating route before treating an earlier equipment proposal as applicable to the new case.
